Baptised Today!!

Well, my local friend Randy and I...and his wife, went down to the beach today and baptised eachother.

I saw him the other day eating in the restaurant next door and I'd been thinking of asking him for a while so I did and we agreed to meet today.

It was a unique event for me personally. I evangelize the Gospel to people when I get the chance but...I've never really proclaimed my love for the Lord and talked to Him like I did today in front of anyone before. I think I understand the purpose of water baptism better now.

I think the whole point is to show to yourself and to God that your not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus. And I wasn't. There were many tourists watching from the beach and I felt no embarresment or awkwardness at all.

First Randy said a prayer on the beach then we entered the shallows. Randy said some more heart felt words then I started talking to the Lord and I dont even remember what I said...lolz...but it all just came out. Truly when, the Lord speaks through you there is no stuttering or trouble with words. It flows.

After Randy put me under, I then had the honor of baptising Randy! Wow. He had his as a 7 year old but he was led to do it again and I was just so happy to be there to do it. After that we both baptised Randy's wife.

A truly joyous event and I wanna thank Randy and his wife for being there for me in a country where being a Christian aint too easy.

i'm so happy and so in awe.

Doc this month is the anniversary of my baptism: i know what you mean when you are there in the waters testifying - it's like Peter's profession.

I truly was amazed by today. You've summarized the experience in such a beautiful way... I will never forget today for the rest of my life.
When I say this was the single most significant event in my life next to being saved, I'm not using idle words.
I give God our Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord in Savior, in the Holy Spirit thanks for allowing us to be His children and to share in this wonderful experience. I honestly will never be the same. Today the Heavens opened and Glory came down and filled my soul.
PRAISE GOD.... HOLY, HOLY , HOLY IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.. WHO WAS AND IS AND IS TO COME... WORTHY ART THOU LORD GOD TO RECEIVE GLORY AND POWER AND PRAISE... AMEN.....

If ya wasn't wearing camels hair and eating locusts, it doesn't "really" count ya know Nevertheless Doc, this is a beautiful post. I'm "jealous" ..... and for all the right reasons.
