Found this article whilst browsing a random Christian forum.

Absolutely ridiculous and unfounded garbage. I'm gonna have fun ripping it to shreds. I'll post the intro for now:

Christians & Conspiracy Theories
A CALL TO REPENTANCE

1) Conspiracy Theory - Intro and Overview

Conspiracy Theory is more than just the belief in an occasional conspiracy. Simply put, it is a belief system that asserts that world events are being controlled in secret by a group of ultra-powerful puppeteers behind the scenes. While nothing much can be done about this overall conspiracy, at least we can have the satisfaction of being smart enough to have figured it all out.

If viewed as fiction, Conspiracy Theory is compelling and fascinating. If it were just a nightmarish novel meant to be unnerving and just a bit beyond plausible, like Asimov's Foundation, that would be one thing. But Conspiracy Theory projects its fiction onto real-life people, families, groups, and organizations. It purports to actually be true... and this is the problem.

If The Root Is Unholy...

Conspiracy Theories are as old as politics. Hitler was a master at weaving conspiracy tales. Nero concocted one to shift the blame to Christians for the burning of Rome. Those who rejected the resurrection of Messiah came up with a Conspiracy Theory to explain the empty tomb and His many appearances. And so on.

The modern day mythology of conspiracy was brought into popular view by the self-styled Democratic candidate Lyndon LaRouche and his followers in the late 1970s. (You may remember the guys in the airports, right next to the Moonies.) The LaRouchites would pass out "Executive Intelligence Reports" (EIRs) that purported to inform us plebeians what was "really going on" and why we should thus support Lyndon.
Ironically, the hobbyhorse of an outcast Democrat has now made the shift from airport "kook" fundraising to mainstream commentators and talk show hosts on radio, both conservative and Christian.

Regurgitated Propaganda, Or Wisdom?

The basic plotlines of Conspiracy Theory have a striking resemblance to anti-Semitic propaganda manufactured in Germany pre-WW2, with only the slight obfuscation of substituting "international bankers" for "Jews." Indeed, many in the Militia and Patriot movements have no illusions about this and have an open anti-Semitic message.

Lyndon LaRouche, and later a few credulous Christian prophecy teachers, brought these ideas into widespread exposure by omitting the original--and more obvious--anti-Semitic ravings and by weaving them together into a compelling whole. Before this, John Birch Society members often promoted them.

Somehow, these tales inflame the fears and paranoia of people to the extent that, even when the Jewish target is "removed," a residue remains in the human imagination that is happy to attach itself to a more vague target. For it must be admitted that some people get a perverse enjoyment from wallowing in such "snits" of paranoia, bogus "insight," fear, discontentment, etc. that propaganda like this evokes. The genius of the modern "Christian" versions of Conspiracy Theory is that now we do not have to be openly anti-Semitic to enjoy these effects.

Strange Bedfellows

With the common bond of being "upset" and discontent in general, the modern co-belligerents of Conspiracy Theory are an odd group indeed. Nowhere is the absurdity of this more stark and ironic than among Jewish Christians who espouse it.

The sources of Conspiracy Theory notions are suspicious--to be generous. But regardless of a dubious historical pedigree, is Conspiracy Theory true or merely a paranoid delusion coupled with an active imagination? Or is it just the human tradition of "ghost stories" taken to a new level of story-telling believability?

These questions must be asked by modern-day Christians since Conspiracy Theory concepts and assumptions are intertwined with modern pop-eschatology "end times" teaching. This (unfortunately) being the case--and Conspiracy Theory assertions are clearly extra-biblical--we must "test all things" (1Thessalonians 5:21) by doing a thorough "fruit inspection" of these ideas. For we are told to judge a tree by its fruit (Matthew 7:16-20).

Unless we are ready to suggest that fear, paranoia, delusion, slander, and hatred are new "fruit of the Spirit" (Galatians 5:22-23), we need to go into this with the instinctive spiritual premonition that Conspiracy Theory is likely to fail the test and with the view to let the Holy Spirit lead us to repentance.

An actual literal esoteric education would be too dangerous. It could result in a public expose'... something which the Illuminati must avoid at all cost. But to give those who might understand a shortcut... Illuminism is COMMUNISM....

MAJESTYTWELVE

Veritas News Service - The following is fact. It is not a theory it is a genuine conspiracy. I witnessed the Top Secret/Majic documents from which this information is excerpted while a member of the United States Navy attached to the Intelligence Briefing Team of Admiral Bernard Clarey, Commander in Chief of the United States Pacific Fleet.

I certify that the following information is true and correct to the best of my memory and the research that I have accomplished. I will swear to it in any court of Law.

I can produce the names of approximately 38 U.S. Navy officers and enlisted men who witnessed these documents while in the service of their country. I can produce the names of approximately 8 people involved in the UFO deception who have witnessed these documents. I can produce the names of approximately 80 others whom I suspect have witnessed these same documents. I will not reveal the names except in a court of Law that is willing to prosecute the People and organizations involved in the conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States of America to bring about a socialist totalitarian world government.

For many years I sincerely believed that an extraterrestrial threat existed and that it was the most important driving force behind world events. I was wrong and for that I most deeply and humbly apologize.

Many years ago I had access to a set of documents that I eventually realized was the plan for the destruction of the united States of America and the formation of a socialist totalitarian world government. The plan was contained within a set of Top Secret documents with the title "MAJESTYTWELVE". There was no space between majesty and twelve. The term honored the planned placement of ultimate power in a body of wise men who are destined to rule the world as the disciples of a Messiah front man. This Messiah will serve as a buffer between the wise men and the sheople. I discovered these documents between 1970 and 1973 while I was a member of the Intelligence Briefing Team of the Commander in Chief of the United States Pacific Fleet.

MAJESTYTWELVE was in a tall thin font style... imagine the title squeezed together between the M and E with all of the letters stretched vertically. The key to access was a Top Secret (Q) (SCI) security clearance with the compartmentalization of "MAJIC" (not magic). I cannot remember the exact font except that it is a tall thin version of San Serif... the exact name escapes me after all these years... but it is a key to access.

The plan outlined the formation of a world totalitarian socialist government. It is to be ruled by a behind-the-scenes council of wise men. A so-called benevolent dictator, will be presented as the Messiah.

The Constitution for the united States of America and its Bill of Rights will be scrapped. A parliamentary form of government will take its place. All military forces and individuals are to be disarmed except for an internal police force which will carry only the minimum weapons needed to maintain internal order.

"When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans... And so a lot of people say there's too much personal freedom. When personal freedom's being abused, you have to move to limit it. That's what we did in the announcement I made last weekend on the public housing projects, about how we're going to have weapon sweeps and more things like that to try to make people safer in their communities." President Bill Clinton, 3-22-94, MTV

"We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans ..." Bill Clinton (USA TODAY, 11 March 1993, page 2A)

The only military force will be a world police force under the United Nations in sufficient numbers with state-of-the-art technology so that it can field overwhelming force against any perceived threat to the world supra government - see State Department Publication 7277. The military of the united States of America is currently filling the requirement. The senior officer corps of all of our military forces have betrayed their oaths of allegiance to the Constitution and have joined the conspiracy. They are turncoats who are actively engaged in High Treason.

The source of this conspiracy will be found in the body known as the Illuminati. It is made up of the highest adepts of the combined total of the so-called fraternal orders and secret societies. They are bound together by blood oaths, a secret religion, and the promise of an elite status within regional government, or the world supra government. Their religion is based upon the Kabbalah, the Luciferian Philosophy, and the worship of the Sun. They are not bound by any oath or allegiance save their own. They are loyal to no government or People save their own. And they are Citizens of no country save their already in place secret world government. In their own words, "If you are not one of us you are nothing." To garner some sense of "feel" for the concept see the movie They Live

"It is a largely 'open' conspiracy, in that much of its membership, structure, methods, and operations, are matters of public record, however scattered and obscure. Its manner of coordination is atypical. Two nuclei - the elite core of the Wall Street clique (orbiting the House of Rockefeller) and the elite core of the European financial clique (orbiting the House of Rothschild) - coordinate this global conspiracy by waging psychological warfare on the rest of the conspirators, telling each no more than is necessary for him to fulfill his designated role, often with explicit recognition neither of his role, nor of the unarticulated rules that govern him. Thus, the overwhelming bulk of the conspirators do not know, but only suspect, that they are part of and in service to 'a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it' (quoting Woodrow Wilson)." - Daniel Pouzzner

You cannot hope to understand the philosophy (Illuminism) of any branch of the "Mystery School" (Illuminati) without many years of study and a complete knowledge of their "symbolic" language. You must understand that like many other organizations they attract those who completely miss the boat... or are just too stupid to "get it". When an individual joins a branch of the "Brotherhood," by any name, Freemasonry, Theosophical Society, Anthroposophic Society, Fraternitis Rosae Crucae, Knights Templar, Sovereign and Military Order of the Knights of Malta, or any other fraternal order or secret society, no one ever sits down with them and explains the meaning of anything. An actual literal esoteric education would be too dangerous. It could result in a public expose'... something which the Illuminati must avoid at all cost. But to give those who might understand a shortcut... Illuminism is COMMUNISM....

Christians & Conspiracy Theories - A CALL TO REPENTANCE

REFUTATION:
Definition of Conspiratorial History
With thanks to Ralph Epperson, author of The Unseen Hand, An Introduction to the Conspiratorial View of History.

Two Views of History
There are two fundamental ways to view history. We call one the catastrophic or accidental view of history. We call the other view the conspiratorial view of history.

Accidental History
In the catastrophic or accidental view of history we are led to believe that historical events, such as wars and revolutions were the direct result of some sudden or surprising event. While the catastrophic view is accurate for weather, volcanoes and earthquakes, it does not always provide a realistic view of humanity and events influenced by man.

Young, malleable American and other Western minds are sadly taught the Accidental view of history in the government school systems. This view is reinforced throughout their lives by the controlled mass media. As a result, when most discover the Conspiratorial View of History, the immediate reaction is shock, disbelief and a refusal to accept something other than they've been taught to believe.

Conspiratorial History
Conspiratorial history studies that part of history that is a product of man's planning. In conspiratorial history we are led to believe that events, such as wars and revolutions, are the result of planned events. While the conspiratorial view is not accurate for weather, volcanoes and earthquakes, it is a realistic and accurate view of the interrelationship of man and nations. Since the planning for most of these events was done in secret, we use the term conspiratorial history. That is; this history is the result of plans constructed in secret, which by definition is a conspiracy.

Interestingly enough, the Conspiratorial View of History is also the Biblical View of History. Try Psalms 2 for starters.*

We believe that current world events are not simply circumstantial, but the result of an organized campaign by an elite group of unseen and widely unknown world leaders. Their goal is to exercise absolute dictatorial control over the world, to establish a New World Order....

1) Conspiracy Theory - Intro and Overview

Conspiracy Theory is more than just the belief in an occasional conspiracy.
Here we see the author is going to use the phrase 'Conspiracy Theory' as a blanket statement like every single conspiracy under the sun fits into this 'theory'. If you think 911 was an inside job then you obviously also think Elvis is living on the moon. You are a 'Conspiracy Theorist'. Theres no room for Christians to simply examine certain events. You have been branded.
Simply put, it is a belief system that asserts that world events are being controlled in secret by a group of ultra-powerful puppeteers behind the scenes. While nothing much can be done about this overall conspiracy, at least we can have the satisfaction of being smart enough to have figured it all out.
Ya and also we can be smart enough to figure out that we shouldn't be working for the people that are carrying out acts of TERROR.

Again....the author wants to say that the entirety of 'Conspiracy Theory' is what some push to be ALL true. This is complete idiocy. If anyone was trying to eduacate others in that way, by saying.."Heres a theory...its called Conspiracy...and its all true"..that would indeed be a problem.
If The Root Is Unholy...
Conspiracy Theories are as old as politics. Hitler was a master at weaving conspiracy tales. Nero concocted one to shift the blame to Christians for the burning of Rome.
Wait...the author is now referring to the Reichstag and Roman fires that were set off and blamed on someone other than who ACTUALLY did it. So these ARE conspiracy's! They need to be examined and seen as attempted deception. But the author wants us to believe that the shift of blame ONLY is the 'Conspiracy Theory' and not the entire event??? Again,,,,totally illogical.
Those who rejected the resurrection of Messiah came up with a Conspiracy Theory to explain the empty tomb and His many appearances. And so on.
Lolz! And AGAIN here we have HALF the conspiracy being presented by the author. Never mind the ACTUAL event of people conspiring to deliver up and murder Jesus Christ.....no..no...we cant have that can we...the ACTUAL conspiracy!

And here we have the point of the whole article. ANTISEMITISM. Thats what this is all about. Don't go anywhere near the Jews..they are a protected species///...**GROAN**Anyone who wants to research conspiracy's is a 'Joo Hater'. This is the usual tactic to intimidate people away from learning of the truth regarding world affairs. The irony being that the bad guys are infact IMPOSTERS of Jacob. They may SAY they are Jews but they LIE!
Ok now we need to associate 'conpiracy' to all the negative buzzwords like 'fear' and 'paranoia' and 'propoganda' and 'antisemitic'. And even if it's not openly antisemitic (The jewish target hasn't really been "removed") its still WRONG to research these things!
Strange Bedfellows

With the common bond of being "upset" and discontent in general, the modern co-belligerents of Conspiracy Theory are an odd group indeed. Nowhere is the absurdity of this more stark and ironic than among Jewish Christians who espouse it.
Of course those conspiracy 'theorists' are never solid in their faith and peaceful and confident in Christ are they? They are always deeply "upset" and fearful and ODD! And, whats this? The most stark examples of this 'absurdity' is JEWISH CHRISTIANS......LIKE ME!! Why the special intimidation for Jewsish Christians?? The answer is obvious....WE ARE THE HARDEST TO INTIMIDATE! Coz we are OBVIOUSLY not antisemitic! We are a real thorn in the side of the ADL. A bit like the Apostle Paul!

Oh perlease...You only need to read the quotes from NWO fanboys to see that these things are a reality. Are politicians OWN WORDS a 'suspicious source'? Ridiculous. I've got an explanation for the authors complete lack of intellectual honesty. DENIAL! Either that or he's a co-conspirator!

Like there are no conspiracys in the bible? The way the author uses the blanket statement here is just laughable.

I'm yet to see any of these supposed fruit in the course of my research....but why not throw in these buzzwords just for good measure. Why not just throw anyone who wants to talk about these things in with the racist skinheads, holocaust denyers and the armed militia!

More analysis of this hit piece article to come.

very well done Doc.
and, yes, you have pegged it. Christians who were formerly jews (for there is now neither greek nor jew) are the toughest of all to silence - for the very reasons you have listed.
i suspect the author is a co-conspiritor. the use of all the buzz (dialectics) words are there. pay particular attention to the Christian Identity/CZ connection to militias etc. this is british-Israelism in all it's wicked glory.
another set-up...(see MajestyTwelve).

Hey Zone, we're being studied:

The power of unreason. conspiracy theories, extremism and counter-terrorism.

Jamie Bartlett, Carl Miller August 2010

~SNIPPETT~

While it is not possible to demonstrate direct causal links between conspiracy theories and extremism, our findings suggest that the acceptance of conspiracy theories in contexts of extremism often serves as a ‘radicalizing multiplier’, which feeds back into the ideologies, internal dynamics and psychological processes of the group. They hold extremist groups together and push them in a more extreme and sometimes violent direction.

This happens in three ways. First, conspiracy theories create demonologies of ‘the other’ or ‘the enemy’ that the group defines itself against. Second, they delegitimise voices of dissent and moderation by casting them as part of the conspiracy. Finally, they can encourage a group to turn to violence, acting as rhetorical devices to portray violence, both to the group itself and their wider supporters, as necessary to ‘awaken’ the people from their acquiescent slumber.

More broadly, conspiracy theories drive a wedge of distrust between governments and particular communities. Conspiracy theories - such as those that claim 7/7 or 9/11 were ‘inside jobs’ - demolish the mutuality and trust that people have in institutions of government, with social and political ramifications that we still don't fully understand.

Staff announcement on the Christianforums.net website a coupla days after I started a holocaust thread there:

Isa 8:12 says:

Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.

If any member comes here with the sole purpose of propagating conspiracies, you WILL be under the scrutiny of the Staff and many a member. Many of the theories lead to gossip, rumors and even slander and will not be tolerated anymore.

This is a new permanent policy and will be written into the Terms of Service in the near future. This announcement will disappear in two weeks, but the policy will remain.

Isa 8:12 says:

Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.

Example. The US said that Iraq had a dangerous regime and conspired to accumulate WMD's.

Intelligent Christians did not say ‘A conspiracy’ concerning all the US
government claimed. And they were vindicated when the claim turned out
to be a hoax.

Well done Isaiah.

Does this mean that Christians should never discuss conspiracies?

Great thread that I missed somehow when back-reading the site.

Accidental History and Conspiratorial History.

I've always referred to it as Incidental History and Intentional History.

Intentionalism is tenable. Incidentalism is not. And now even weather, volcanoes, and earthquakes, etc. can, have, and will be part of Intentional History.

Death of Isaiah

It is related in the Talmud that Rabbi Simeon ben Azzai found in Jerusalem an account wherein it was written that King Manasseh killed Isaiah. King Manasseh said to Isaiah, "Moses, thy master, said, 'There shall no man see God and live' Exodus 33:20; but thou hast said, 'I saw the Lord seated upon his throne'" Isaiah 6:1; and went on to point out other contradictions—as between Deuteronomy 4:7 and Isaiah 40:6; between Exodus 33:26 and 2 Kings 20:6. Isaiah thought: "I know that he will not accept my explanations; why should I increase his guilt?" He then uttered the Unpronounceable Name, a cedar-tree opened, and Isaiah disappeared within it. Then King Manasseh ordered the cedar to be sawn asunder, and when the saw reached his mouth Isaiah died; thus was he punished for having said, "I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips" (Yeb. 49b).[1]

A somewhat different version of this legend is given in the Jerusalem Talmud (Sanhedrin x.). According to that version Isaiah, fearing King Manasseh, hid himself in a cedar-tree, but his presence was betrayed by the fringes of his garment, and King Manasseh caused the tree to be sawn in half.[1] A passage of the Targum to Isaiah quoted by Jolowicz ("Die Himmelfahrt und Vision des Prophets Jesajas," p. 8) states that when Isaiah fled from his pursuers and took refuge in the tree, and the tree was sawn in half, the prophet's blood spurted forth.[1] From Talmudical circles the legend of Isaiah's martyrdom was transmitted to the Arabs ("Ta'rikh," ed. De Goeje, i. 644).[1]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaiah_in_rabbinic_literature

Who was it that killed all the prophets, from Abel the just, onward? It was the forerunners of the Pharisees. What is Orthodox Judaism today? As Rabbi Jacob Neusner makes clear, Orthodox Judaism is the continuation of the creed of the Pharisees. When the prophet Isaiah rose up to declare that Israel had sinned, the Talmud states that Isaiah was justifiably killed for his "crime." The Talmud that Lapin and Foxman revere, says that the Old Testament prophet Isaiah--like Jesus Christ--got what he deserved.
