Value of Science Truly So Called Empty Value of Science Truly So Called

Knowing the correct age of the Earth is not required for salvation. Neither is contending for the faith, but both are commanded for Christians.

Atheism is a false religion. Paul argued against false religion on Mars Hill, and so should we. People were saved because of the apologetics offered there. Those people would be in Hell right now if Paul had said only, "I believe just because I have faith, and that's all you're getting from me." Instead, Paul went the extra mile.

We are at war. Macroevolution attacks the whole basis for Christianity by dismissing the reason for the gospel. Atheists know this, which is why they promote it. Richard Bozarth writes in the Meaning of Evolution,

"Christianity has fought, still fights, and will continue to fight science to the desperate end over evolution, because evolution destroys utterly and finally the very reason Jesus' earthly life was supposedly made necessary. Destroy Adam and Eve and the original sin, and in the rubble you will find the sorry remains of the Son of God. If Jesus was not the redeemer who died for out sins, and this is what evolution means, then Christianity is nothing."

If a person can overcome the world regarding the creation, that person is one inch from salvation. Atheists know that, which is exactly why they hate the truth of Genesis.

In the 18th century, the Atheist botanist Charles Lyell admitted that he was deliberately sneaking Deep Time into Christian thought. He wrote,

"If we don't irritate, which I fear that we may... we shall carry all with us. If you don't triumph over them, but compliment the liberality and candor of the present age, the bishops and enlightened saints will join us in despising both the ancient and the modern physico-theologians. It is just the time to strike, so rejoice, sinner that you are, the [scientific journal] is open to you."

In 1872, Charles Darwin wrote,
"Lyell is most firmly convinced that he has shaken the faith in the Deluge... far more efficiently by never having said a word against the Bible, than if he had acted otherwise.
"I have lately read Morley's life of Voltaire and he insists strongly that direct attacks in Christianity(even when written with the wonderful force and vigour of Voltaire)produce little permanent effect: real good seems only to follow from slow and silent side attacks.
"Stuart Mill, never expressing his religious convictions, as he was urged never to do by his father,. Both agreed strongly that if he had done so he would never have influenced the present age in the manner in which he has done. His books would never have been text-books at Oxford."

Thomas Huxley writes,

"If Adam may be held to be no more a real personage than Prometheus, and if the Fall is merely an instructive 'type,' comparable to the profound Promethean mythus, what value has Paul's dialectic.
"And what about the authority of the writers of the New Testament, who, on this theory, have not merely accepted flimsy fictions for solid truths, but have built the very foundations of Christian dogma upon legendary quicksands?"

These calculated attacks have been appallingly effective. By 1949. Atheist Historian of science F. Sherwood Taylor was able to write,

"...I myself have little doubt that in England it was [Deep Time geology] and the theory of evolution that changed us from a Christian to a pagan nation."

That was the strategy. That is what Atheism is after when it preaches evolution. "The wages of sin is death...." But if man was created by means of evolution, death was here all along, and so death is not the wage of sin!

The historicity of Creation account is crucial to Christian belief. It's the start of the Roman Road, for gosh sakes. How ya gonna share the gospel, if that fails in the mind of the listener at the start? But of course, that was the stated Atheist plan.

Jesus believes Genesis. Mark 10 says:

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

From the beginning of creation, not billions of years after.

In Luke 11 Jesus says:
50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias...."

Thus, Jesus dates the life of Abel at the "foundation of the world."

In Matt Chapter 27, Jesus speaks of about Noah's flood. So he believes in the Great Deluge, which is irreconcilable with Deep Time.

At least 100 references to the creation account as stated by Genesis in the NT. The NT traces Jesus' lineage all the way back to Adam. If the timeline isn't correct, then the the NT is wrong.

Was the Son of God wrong about creation? If so, what else was he wrong about?

As Carl Wieland put it, "One thing is very clear from all this. Namely, that the erroneous belief that 'science' insists that evolution and long ages are 'fact' is the most serious challenge to biblical authority, and thus to the faith in general, that Christendom has ever faced. If even Jesus' words in scripture cannot be trusted, how are we supposed to trust anything in scripture at all?"

The NT traces Jesus' lineage all the way back to Adam. If a man says he thinks the Bible is wrong about Jesus' lineage, intelligent lost people will wonder what else from the Bible does that man not believe? If one does not believe what Jesus says, why call oneself a Christian? Why not just say. "I'm a nice guy who thinks Jesus and the Bible are both wrong?"

Aside from theological reasons, the truth is that evidence from geology and biology testify to the historical accuracy of the Bible.

Materialist geologists teach that radiometric dating reliably reports ages for rock samples at many millions of years. Simultaneously they admit there are essentially no rock samples untainted by continuous water flow through the rocks tested. Diamonds are excepted because they are water tight, but every diamond has datable carbon 14 within it, when there should be no carbon 14 left at all after the deep time diamonds are said to have been in situ. Nor should there be any C-14 in dinosaur flesh -- yes, flesh -- if dinosaurs died out sixty-five million years ago. Yet biologists swear that's what happened.

Both materialist geologists and biologists routinely date rock strata by identifying the fossils found therein -- and date the fossils by the rock strata!

If that is not "science falsely so called," then what is?

Thanks to the internet anyone can obtain piles of strong evidence for young Earth and damning contradictions of Deep Time.

The role of the Holy Spirit, enabling a person to turn from disbelief to belief is vital, indispensable. But we can make it easy for people to hear the "still small voice" by sweeping away the World's lies. In the Parable of the Soils, the seed takes root only in the cultivated ground. That is exactly what Paul was doing on Mars Hill, cultivating the minds of listeners so that the gospel could take root.

1 Peter 3:15 says
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear"

2 Corinthians 10 says:
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We have the ability to destroy that which exalts itself against knowledge of God by showing that the facts conform to a biblical world view. Not only do we have that ability; we are so commanded.

Anyone who wants to say the Creation Account is exclusively metaphorical may as well go ahead and sign up with the Jesus Seminar.
