Re: Liberalism - Opiate of the Masses
"That is what the American Jewish community aimed for, at least with regard to public life: to escape anti-semitism by helping to create a nation where religion played less and less important role. To avoid distinction from other citizens by diminishing the one factor that seperated them from the overwhelming Christian majority"
"...america would convert from a Christian society to one without religion"
- Jewish writer Elliott Abrams, 'Faith or Fear: How Jews can Survive in a Christian America', pages 190-191

Re: Liberalism - Opiate of the Masses
“A former ACT UP staffer who worked for the Open Society Institute, George Soros’ foundation, suggested that I file an application there for funding for the [young Palestinian Queer USA] tour. When I did so it turned out that the person on the other end had known me from when we both attended Hunter [College] High School in New York in the 1970s. He forwarded the application to the institutes’s office in Amman, Jordan, and I had an amazing one-hour conversation with Hanan Rabani, its director of the Women’s and Gender program for the Middle East region. Hanan told me that this tour would give great visibility to autonomous queer organizations in the region. That it would inspire queer Arabs—especially in Egypt and Iran…for that reason, she said, funding for the tour should come from the Amman office”

[Jerry Rubin, influential radical of the 60's] "ascribes his own radicalism to being Jewish...It is clear, too, that his primary hostility is towards Christianity."

Re: Liberalism - Opiate of the Masses
“In the modern history of most Jewish communities not only in Europe but also in countries of the New World, and not least of all the United States, Jews have been ubiquitously prominent in radical leftist movements, particularly communism. . .Some theorists have speculated that certain moral and social values inherent in the Jewish religion predispose Jews to liberal forms of social consciousness and, by extension, also to radical movements.”

Re: Liberalism - Opiate of the Masses
“In sum, the aim of the Jewish radical is to estrange the Christian from society, as he feels estranged from it. . .Thus many radical Jews, even when they do not identify with Judaism, unconsciously retain a generalized hostility to Christian culture. [...] Thus Jews in the United States and Europe have been in the forefront of not only political radicalism, but also various forms of cultural subversion...such inequities or irrationalities are used as a means for achieving a larger purpose: the general weakening of the social order itself.”
