20 children and six adults shot dead at a Connecticut elementary school

The gunman who killed 20 children and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school first murdered his mother at home before he embarked on the shooting rampage.

The mother was a teacher at the school and the shooter ultimately turned the gun on himself, bringing the death toll to 27 at the scene.

Another person who lived with the suspect is also dead at a “secondary” crime scene, police said.

One of the worst school shootings in U.S. history

Authorities have not officially identified the suspect, but law enforcement officials told AP he is 20-year-old Adam Lanza. Earlier, an official who spoke to AP mistakenly identified the shooter as Lanza’s older brother, Ryan Lanza.

Ryan, 24, who lives in New Jersey, was questioned by police, but authorities later said they don’t believe he had any involvement in the shooting rampage. The brothers’ mother, Nancy Lanza, is presumed dead.

Friday’s massacre marks one of the worst mass school shootings in U.S. history, behind the Virginia Tech university massacre in 2007, which left 32 dead.

It seems like not a week goes by anymore that there isn't something tragic like this in the news.

I keep tabs on a "conspiracy site" (abovetopsecret.com) where they pick these stories to pieces, so we can see it from many different angles.

All I know right now is that there are a lot of very sad people in the world who have no answers for why this happened, and no answers are going to bring back their loved ones.

I also heard the number rose to 22, but haven't seen that officially. If so, that's really odd. Twenty-two children were stabbed in China today also.

Confiscation is a line in the sand for a lot of Americans, I think. These massacres take place where weapons are already confiscated. You don't hear of anyone going crazy at police headquarters and killing a bunch of cops. You don't hear of anyone going crazy at the gun range and killing a bunch of gun enthusiasts.
If they are going to confiscate weapons they should start with the police and govt. agencies and see how it works out. If it doesn't work out well (BIG FAT GIANT DUH!) then they should lift the bans everywhere and let the 2nd amendment be what it was intended.

Hey Zone, I'm afraid you're right!

I went into it rather naiive, but have watched more intently as of late and have seen people get banned for certain "hot button" topics. (The "Z" word, especially, it looks to me.)

I'm not very vocal there on these topics, because I don't want to get banned. One person I know who got banned wasn't even able to read that site for a long time. and they do have some good "Breaking News" type stories that I like to see.

There was some interesting discussion about the Aurora shootings and the Illuminati card and some strange correlations between the two.

the media said the kid-shooter's mother had been a teacher at the school and it was her class he shot up.

officials from the school say she never worked there, they never heard of her.

Suzanne Collins author of the “Hunger Games” Trilogy lives in Sandy Hook Connecticut and lives with her children in Sandy Hook. However the CBS TV coverage is not mentioning that fact. Unlike the Aurora shooting which brought speculation about everything from Occupy Wall Street to the Tea Party movement.

The “Hunger Games” trilogy is a series of books about a dystopian future in which children are forced to kill each other. However even in Panem the children murdered were limited to the ages of 12 to 18. Sandy Hook Elementary has grades from kindergarten to fourth grade which would mean approximate ages from five to ten years old.

CBS was the first network to cover the shooting live and the other networks didn't even bother until the sheer number of victims mostly children was reported. Neither of them speculated about the “Hunger Games”.

Pike's Letter to Mazzini

These things are getting so out in front of us. Just look at all the Rituals performed at the Olympics, the Super Bowl, the little signs in the movies, etc,...bringing it all into people's living rooms, making them participants, whether they realize it or not.

Thought I'd throw this out there before hittin' the hay. The missus and I were just discussing this very thing. Unread as she is on a lot of this end-time stuff, she never fails to pick up on the "small" (almost unnoticed) details. The fine print, if you will. Case in point ...i.e.... why such a long delay before the removal of all the bodies ? Naturally, the explanation is/will be for the "purpose of investigation". But does it take THAT long to take pictures of the corpses to identify their locations ? This whole scenario isn't passing the smell test. Somethings fishy about it all. Very fishy.

The "Manchurian Candidate" comes to mind. Was just reading a press link that stated that the shooters hard-drive had been removed from his computer and broken into pieces. The FBI is "going to try" to piece it back together to see who he was corresponding with electronically before this tragedy. Was a time when I'd suspect very little concerning these matters and write it off to just another distraught kid. But a distraught kid that massacred 28 children and adults and had the clarity/foresight to remove and destroy his hard-drive first ?

Before they can get rid of everyone's guns, what they can do is increase the police (TSA?) presence on our streets, getting us used to constantly being "protected". That would make the next steps go smoother,...the round-ups, I mean.

They can probably use more body-scanners, too, in new kinds of locations, malls, libraries, etc,...
